GIMP
Photoshop is one of those exclusive programs which only ‘pirates’, professional photographers, businesses and those with money. Never fear though (students mainly) because there is an open-source alternative to Adobe’s expensive program, GIMP. It does the same sorts of jobs as Photoshop and is as confusing to use as the Adobe version too so it ticks all of the professional software boxes. Unfortunately GIMP does not officially compile their code into a program to download and run but instead they provide a link to the compiled program carried out by a third-party. What’s more the program is available for Windows, Linux and Apple Mac.
